Dr. Robert Kellan graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his training at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
He is certified both by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Ophthalmology. A member of the Merrimack Valley community, Dr. Kellan holds a senior staff position at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence.
Dr. Kellan has designed several instruments manufactured by the American Surgical Instrument Corporation, Storz Instrument Company, Visitec Company, Medical Sterile Products and Optical Micro Systems. He has also patented an accommodative aphakic lens and a refractive phakic lens being manufactured and distributed by Lenstec.
Dr. Robert Kellan belongs to the New England Ophthalmological Society, Massachusetts Ophthalmological Society, American Association of Ophthalmology, American Intraocular Implant Society, French Ophthalmological Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, New York Intraocular Lens Implant Society and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
